Worksite Wellness Collaborative. Thrive at Work. Thrive at Health.

Are you wanting to start a worksite wellness program, but don’t know where to start? Do you currently have an active worksite wellness program, but need fresh ideas? FMW SHIP is pleased to announce a no-cost worksite wellness collaborative for employers located in Faribault, Martin and Watonwan Counties. By participating in this collaborative you will receive free training and presentations related to improving your worksite wellness program, including information on healthy eating at work, improving opportunities for employees to be physically active, ensure your worksite provides a supportive environment for breastfeeding moms, tobacco cessation and reducing stress. The collaborative will also offer the opportunity to network with other worksite wellness coordinators from around the area and receive free resources and ideas you can use to implement changes in your worksite.

What’s involved?

The worksite collaborative will meet twice per year in a central location. All meetings will include free lunch, lots of resources and networking with colleagues!

What’s in it for my worksite?

Investing in the health of employees by developing a workplace wellness initiative is an important step any employer can take to increase productivity, improve morale and better manage health care costs. Plus, most of the best practice recommendations take little to no financial resources on the part of your organization—just staff time to plan and implement. In addition to the collaborative, FMW SHIP offers free support to worksites, including assistance with completing worksite wellness assessments and providing resources for implementing programs. Any size employer is welcome! Weather your organization has an existing wellness initiative in place, or is new to they type of work, we invite you to learn and participate!

Mark your calendars!

The next will be held on August  from 9am-2pm at Martin County Resource Center Community Room (115 W 1st Street, Fairmont, MN 56031). A free lunch will be provided. RSVP to: phmoua1@gmail.com or by phone: 507-779-4528
